Eighth Grade Transition Program Class of 2030

Ninth grade orientation is currently scheduled for August 25, 2026. Transportation will be provided, students will ride their bus routes, meet their teachers, and tour the building. Chromebooks will be distributed as well. More information to come!

WHRHS Peer Leaders host a 1 hour tours at the High School for all incoming 9th Graders!

Physical Education is a 4-year High School Graduation requirement so all students have to take PE. Some students who participate in varsity sports may have the option to count their participation towards their PE requirement during the term they compete. If you are eligible, your coach will have this information.  

The All School Council as well as each Grade Level Council Executive Boards consist of an elected President, Vice President, Parliamentarian, Treasurer, and Secretary.

Your parents will receive two emails in mid May 2026 describing how to access your accounts. If you cannot find them, you can email parentconnect@whrhs.org for more information.

When you use email, you will be able to search for teachers and other students in our school directory using their names. 

Students should bring their school issued Chromebooks to school everyday. Other devices will not be configured to access the wireless network.

The summer reading assignment will be posted on the district website.

Summer Reading for Ninth Grade 

Students are permitted limited use their cell phones between classes and during lunch if they can do it safely. Students may check messages and listen to music with headphones during these times as long as they are not disturbing others. Phones should not be used during class without your teacher's permission. Students are asked not to talk on the phone during school.
