Summer School
WHRHS Empower Summer School 2025
Runs Tuesday, June 24 through Thursday, July 24
5 weeks, 4 days/per week, 3hrs/per course a day
Credit Recovery Format:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdays: Students to report in-person to WHRHS classrooms
One additional day per week over the five weeks: Students will be required to work on coursework remotely
Two Sessions Available:
A session 8-11
B session 12-3
Students taking two courses would need to attend both sessions
Instruction provided by:
Humanities Teacher & STEM Teacher
Cost:
$100 per course (max of 2) via PaySchools Central
No cost for students approved for free or reduced lunch
Notes:
- Students can enroll in up to two academic courses for credit recovery during the summer.
- Transportation to WHRHS campus to be provided by parents/caregivers.
- In addition to passing the coursework, students must complete 60 hours of instruction to recover credit.
- Summer school course credit recovery does not meet the requirements for NCAA course eligibility.
- Open only to current Grade 9-12 WHRHS registered students (2024-25 school year) and not to be used for
credit advancement or enrichment (credit recovery only).
Academic Integrity:
-All submitted summer school assignments must be the student's original work.
- All summer school assessments must be completed by the student during the in-person class session.
