2023-2024 District Budget

The Watchung Hills Regional High School Board of Education approved the preliminary budget on March 14, 2023 and final budget on April 25, 2023.  There is one unique item in this budget that requires explanation.  There are tax neutral entrees on both the revenue and appropriation summary budgets that equal.  These entrees are later backed out and referred to as "Impact of Referendum".  They represent a previously approved referendum project funded by 66% of our own capital reserve and 34% state debt service aid.  The entrees artificially inflate both revenues and appropriations but are required by the state to be reported through our operating budget.
