In an effort to provide students and teachers with a range of effective tools for collaboration, creativity, and communication, all WHRHS students and staff have a G Suite for Education account. For all school-related activity, staff and students are expected to use their WHRHS Google/Gmail accounts in lieu of personal accounts.
Along with Gmail, apps like Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Forms as well as Google Classroom are available in this domain. G Suite for Education has strong privacy policies and no information is used to target advertising.
Student's Network/Google username and password can be found in the Genesis Parent Access portal on the "Summary" page.
The IT department recommends the use of Google Drive as your main point for storage. Users can access Google drive from any location and device with an internet connection. Users can download the Google Drive application on their phones or tablets. G Suite for Education also provides unlimited Google Drive space.
The district does provide local storage up to 2 GB and can be accessed by a district Windows device or via Virtual Desktop. We do not recommend the use of any type of removable storage.
Student's will have to use their 1:1 device on the "WHRHS-Mobile" wireless connection. Personal devices will not be able to connect to any of our wireless networks. The "WHRHS-BYOD" wireless network is for student's that are not part of the 1:1 initiative (Class of 2019 and 2020).
