Watchung Hills Regional High School participates in the Somerset County Academic League. The purpose of this league is to provide high school students with a fun, competitive experience involving solutions to problems and recall of facts commonly included in the high school curriculum or experienced in popular culture.

Competitions are held Thursdays from the end of November to mid-February. There will be 9 competitions. The team will meet on other Thursdays as necessary to prepare for these competitions

WHRHS fields both a Varsity and JV teams to each competition.
