Tri-M Music Honor Society

Brief description of club:

Tri-M is the only national honor society for student musicians in the country. It highlights Watchung Hills Regional High School's music program and gives students the opportunity to perform, lead, and serve.

 

Over 1,900 Tri-M chapters already enrich the lives of over 75,000 students throughout the country and around the globe.

The purpose of this chapter will be to:

• Provide an appropriate method for recognizing the musical achievements of our members

• Strengthen our school’s music program

• Help our members reach their full musical potential

• Motivate and recognize our members’ musical and personal achievements, credits, and grades

 

• Encourage our members to work together toward the same goal

• Inspire and challenge our members

• Focus public attention on our school’s music program through community service

Requirements for members:

Students in Tri-M must act as leaders. Servant leadership is an idea we focus on throughout the year as we go out into the community to perform for specific events. The purpose of this chapter will be to:

• Provide an appropriate method for recognizing the musical achievements of our members

• Strengthen our school’s music program

• Help our members reach their full musical potential

• Motivate and recognize our members’ musical and personal achievements, credits, and grades
