Thank you for your interest in our Boys Soccer Program. The soccer program is divided into 3 teams, Varsity, Junior Varsity and Freshmen. Our team development philosophy will be one where players are recognized for their technical, tactical, and physical ability. Therefore, the top players, regardless of grade or age, will be selected to the Varsity team. Subsequently, the next group of players will be selected to the Junior Varsity Team and next group to the Freshman Team. Unfortunately because of the large number of players interested in playing soccer, cuts are made at all levels, including freshmen.
Individual goals can best be achieved through the team’s success. Therefore, players will be placed in positions that best fit the team. The most ambitious players will seize this opportunity and put in the physical and technical work needed to be an effective team member. Playing time will be given to those players that carryout the tactical expectations of those positions in our system of play.
Championship teams are made when players at all levels are able to work and support each other for a common goal, ours being to win a championship. This is the mentality that I will be expecting of anyone who wants to be part of this program.
Remember, communication is the key to an enjoyable season on everyone’s part. If you have any problems, concerns, or just want to talk, please get in touch with me and I will get back to you.
