SoB Test Dates

Test dates for SENIORS (Class of 2027) 

November 17 and November 19  (Deadline to sign up/make payment is 11/10/26)

December 8  and December 10 (Deadline to sign up/make payment is 12/1/26)

January 12  and January 14 (Deadline to sign up/make payment is 1/5/27)

The testing window is from 2:30 to 5:30 for each testing session.

Venues will be confirmed via email. 

All tests must be taken in school and will be monitored by school personnel. Bring a fully charged Chromebook to the testing site. We will supply you with headphones. You cannot use your own. If your test requires a special keyboard, see the IT department for assistance before your test session date. 

Sign up for the Seal of Biliteracy test is a two step process. (If you do not complete both steps, you will not be able to test.)

First - Complete the online Google Form. You must use your WHRHS address to fill out this form. Click HERE. We observe strict deadlines for sign-up. All entries are time and date stamped. 

Second - Pay by check. The cost of most exams is $25. If your test costs more than $25, Mr. Commerford will email you separately. Make a check out to WHRHS for $25. Include your first and last name in the memo section of the check and the acronym "SoB" for "Seal of Biliteracy". Drop off the check to your world language teacher or in the main office to Mr. Commerford's mailbox. 

You will receive an email confirmation of your payment along with your test date. Once you sign up and make payment, refunds cannot be processed.

We use the AAPPL test for Seal of Biliteracy purposes. Click HERE for information on this test and sample test questions in various languages. If you request a test in a language that is not part of the AAPPL repertoire, we will reach out to you on how you can test and the cost of your test. 

Juniors (class of 2028) will able to test for the Seal of Biliteracy in June. Dates will be announced once all testing for seniors has closed.
