WHRHS Business Department Mission
The Watchung Hills Regional High School Business Department is dedicated to cultivating critical and creative thinkers equipped to solve complex academic and real-world challenges through effective collaboration and communication.
Our comprehensive curriculum spans Business Technology, Accounting, and Social Business. To ensure our students remain competitive in a rapidly evolving global economy, we regularly update our course offerings to reflect the latest technological advancements and industry demands. Our faculty maintains active partnerships with the local business community, ensuring our students master the specific skills currently sought by employers.
Graduation Pathways & Requirements
All courses within the Business Department satisfy the five-credit graduation requirement for 21st century Life and Careers (Career-Technical Education). Furthermore, designated courses fulfill the 2.5-credit mandate for Financial, Economic, Business, and Entrepreneurial Literacy.
Flexible Learning: Personal Finance
We are proud to offer our Personal Finance class as a specialized online course for 11th-grade students. This flexible learning model provides a robust foundation in financial literacy and entrepreneurial thinking, preparing students for sound fiscal management beyond high school.
