Flash 4 – Slideshow

Step 1 – fade out the first picture.
- Open a new flash document. Name the document “Flash4.fla”
- Go to frame 1
- Import a picture to the stage.
- Use the align panel to align horizontally and vertically.
- Use the free transform tool to size it accordingly.
- Convert the picture to a symbol (F8)
- Insert a keyframe at frame 20.
- Select the picture (black arrow tool), then change the alpha color property to 0.
- Add a motion tween.
- Hit enter to test. Your picture should fade away.
Step 2 – Fade in the second picture.
- Add another layer.
- Click the “eye” button on layer 1 so you can’t see it.
- Go to frame 20 and add a blank keyframe (F7)
- Import another picture to the stage.
- Transform and align accordingly.
- Convert the picture to a symbol (F8)
- Change the alpha property to 0.
- Insert a keyframe on frame 40 (make sure you are in layer 2).
- Change the alpha property to 100.
- Add a motion tween. This picture will now fade in.
- Add a keyframe to frame 60.
- Change the alpha to 0. The image will now fade out.
- Add another layer and repeat this process.
- Repeat this process, so you have at least a 5 picture slide show.
Now that you have the basic concept, adjust the size, rotation, position, etc for a more creative slideshow.
