In Flash, you can create motion guide that allow your objects to follow a path as opposed to just a straight line.
Open Flash, and create a new file. Name the file “flash3.fla”
Rename the first layer “background.” Draw some type of background image that will be used for your animation. For example, a mountain, roller coaster, etc.
Go to frame 30 of this layer and hit F5. This will add frames so the background appears throughout the animation.
Add a new layer and name it “symbol”.
In frame 1 of that layer, draw a picture on the stage (shape, stick figure, car, train, etc.)
Hit F8 to convert to a symbol
Move to frame 30 and insert a keyframe (F6)
Select the object and move it across the screen to the ending point of your animation.
Click on one of the frames in between.
Select “motion tween” under the tween option in the properties inspector.
Add the motion guide layer by clicking on the icon (the one with the red dots.).
Click view, snapping, snap to objects to make sure this is turned on (it should have a check mark next to it).
Click the pencil tool, and draw a path for your object to follow.
Go back to the symbol layer, and click on frame 1.
Drag the transformation point (the circle in the center) directly to the beginning of the path (as you drag, the snapper ring enlarges as it gets close to the path).
Move to frame 30 and do the same thing.
In properties, click “orient to path.”
Click enter – your object should now follow the path.
Click control, test movie – this will create the SWF file.
To have the animation stop after one time,
Go to frame 30.
Hit F9 to open the actions panel
Choose Global functions, timeline control, stop.
Go on to part 2
