For this assignment, you will create 3 animations in one Flash file. See example below.
Open Flash and create a new Flash document. Name the file “flash2.fla”
Part 1 – Shape Tween with multiple keyframes
- Rename layer 1 “Shape Tween” by double clicking on the text.
- Draw a shape on frame 1
- Click on frame 20 and add a blank keyframe (F7 key).
- Draw another shape with a different fill color.
- Click on any frame in between 1 and 20, then change the tween to “Shape” (this is on the bottom in the properties panel)
- You should see a solid arrow with a green background if you did it correctly.
- Repeat this process 5 more times so that you have a multiple keyframe shape tween animation.
- Hit enter to play the animation.
Part 2 – Shape Tween text.
- Add a new layer. Name this layer “Text.”
- Type some text on the stage (the text tool has the capital A).
- With the text selected, hit “control-b” 2 times. This will break apart the text.
- Go to frame 20 (be sure you are on the text layer) and add a blank keyframe (F7).
- Type some different text, with a different color.
- With the text selected, hit “control-b” 2 times. This will break apart the text.
- Click on any frame in between 1 and 20, then change the tween to “Shape”
- You should see a solid arrow with a green background if you did it correctly.
- Hit enter to play the animation.
Part 3 – Motion Tween
- Add a new layer. Name this layer Motion
- Draw an object or import a picture to the stage.
- Select the object with the black arrow, then hit F8 to convert it to a symbol
- Remember, if you have a shape, you must select the stroke and fill by drawing a box around the shape.
- Add a keyframe (F6 key) to frame 20.
- Move the symbol to a different part of the stage.
- Click on any frame in between 1 and 20, then change the tween to “motion”
- You should see a solid arrow with a blue background if you did it correctly.
- Repeat this process 5 more times so that you have a multiple keyframe motion tween animation.
- Hit “cntl-enter” to create the "swf" file.
