GRADING POLICY:

I grade using total points.  Tests are generally around 100 points, quizzes range from 25-50 points.  Homework is graded on a 3-2-0 scale.  "3" for doing all the problems and making an obviously good effort.  "2" for a reasonable effort.  "0" for little or no effort.  I do not grade homeworks for correctness.  Homework is roughly 20% of each marking period grade, with tests and quizzes making up the other 80%.  No extra credit is offered.

EXTRA HELP:

I am available most mornings in the Math Department office (room 30) at 7am and after school from 2:15 to 3pm.  It is a good idea to let me know you will be coming for help in advance so that there are no conflicts in schedule.

HOMEWORK POLICY FOR GEOMETRY L CLASSES:

Very often time will be given in class to complete homework.  If it is not completed in class, the homework is due by the beginning of third period the next day at my desk in room 30.  This is so the homework can be corrected and given back at the beginning of the next class.
