The Warrior strength and conditioning program is open and encouraged for all athletes participating in any sport program at Watchung Hills. Its focus is to increase strength, power, speed, agility, and sport-specific conditioning while reducing the possibility of injury on the field, court, ice or track. The athletes will be guided through specific workouts by myself, accounting for proper technique and work intensity. The weight room is open 5 days a week after school beginning at 2:30pm on Monday, September 8, 2008. ALL athletes not participating in a fall sport, should be training for the winter or spring.
All weight training sessions will take place in the weight room located in gym #4. Gym #4 is the gym nearest to the tennis courts in back of the high school.
The summer training sessions were very successful. The improvements in speed, agility, strength and conditioning over the last 7 weeks will certainly show come game time this Fall. Go Warriors!
