About
“Experience with and knowledge of the arts is a vital part of a complete education. The arts are rich disciplines that include a vibrant history, an exemplary body of work to study, and compelling cultural traditions. An education in the arts is an essential part of the academic curriculum. An education in the disciplines of dance, music, theatre, and visual art is critical to a student’s personal success. The arts offer tools for development and enable personal, intellectual, and social development for each individual.”
– New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards
The Arts Department offers courses in visual arts, media arts, music, dance, and theatre. The courses offered provide students with an array of creative opportunities. Most subjects are presented through sequential study of the discipline.
